Introducing Myself || EMS Education
I thought it may be a good time to introduce myself! ♥️
Hi, I’m Stacee. 👋🏻
I got the EMS bug as a teen when I joined my local Fire/EMS Explorers chapter. I was able to volunteer & do ride-alongs and the obsession began! Although I took my EMT-basic class 🚑 at 20 years old, I felt immense pressure to finish a degree program as our generation was typically preached to about the need for a degree to succeed. I do have a bachelors and it was very expensive and…frankly, just unnecessary.
ATTENTION YOUNGSTERS: Degrees are fine, but SO OVERRATED! You can always choose to go down the degree path after getting a cert, making that moolah 💰 and being able to fully support yourself through it!
*I married my best friend 11 years ago! 💍 I love that guy!
*I returned to EMS in 2015 and had a YouTube channel 🎥 documenting my way through paramedic school. You won’t be able to find those videos. SUPER CRINGE!
*I received my medic and a job at my local fire department 🚒 🚑. I was blessed to have supervisors and coworkers that fostered my love for EMS & EMS education.
*I returned to YouTube in 2019 and began making educational videos for the EMS community.
*I’m now teaching a paramedic program full-time and have a side- gig teaching an AEMT class.
*I am in graduate school for education……I vowed to never return for a master’s degree, yet here we are. Side note: My employer has a tuition waiver for employees or your girl would be just fine where she was degree wise (read my opinion above).
*I am bilingual. I lived in la isla del encanto (Puerto Rico) after high school.🌴
*I am a dog lover. 🐶 I have 3 (Berner, Catahoula & Aussie). If you don’t know the love of a dog, I feel sorry for you…It’s like no other.
*The worst people = people that say oxygen staturation 🫁 (kidding…..kinda 😬)
*I’m frugal and used to be a bit of an extreme couponer.
*The older I get……the more I understand the desire for the homesteading lifestyle.
*I once responded to a call in full uniform except for uggs on my feet and didn’t realize it until we arrived! Don’t be like me!
